Dawn Casterton - Family Law Consultant I am a solicitor with over 19 years experience of family law, in East Anglia and London. I am accredited by the Law Society as a specialist family and children lawyer – being a member of the Children Panel (acting for both parents and children) and also the Advanced Family Panel. Facing divorce or family breakdown is likely to feel daunting and at Purdys Family Law we can help you through this process with our sympathetic, yet constructive and straightforward approach. We are a niche firm offering a personal service and we only work on behalf of private clients and so are able to offer very competitive rates for the work we do. You may already be familiar with mediation – the process by which families are encouraged to reach agreement. I trained as a mediator with Resolution (formerly The Family Law Association) and my focus is to work with you in achieving a settlement for your case without going to court wherever possible. If court proceedings are necessary – I will work with you to achieve the best outcome for your case. |
 I understand that the first contact with a solicitor is important to you and can seem daunting. I offer an initial consultation by telephone or email for up to 30 minutes - without charge to you and without any obligation to instruct us. I will talk to you about your case and the likely cost involved, and whether part of the work can be carried out at a fixed fee. We are not able to offer legal aid but I will discuss with you about how cost can be managed.
